Mathrubelaku Foundation was established with a mission to support vulnerable children, empower women and youth, and strengthen rural communities.
A journey towards education, dignity, and social empowerment.
Mathrubelaku Foundation started in July 2023 with the vision of contributing to the socio-economic development of rural communities, especially in the areas of education and health. Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s words, “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world,”
Our initiatives support children between the ages of 6 and 14 who are affected by poverty, migration, orphanhood, single-parent challenges, and social inequalities.
Along with child-focused initiatives, Mathrubelaku Foundation actively promotes women and youth empowerment through livelihood support, cultural activities, awareness programs, healthcare initiatives, farmer training programs, and campaigns against child labour and social injustice.

A journey shaped by struggle, compassion and hope.
Mr. Basavaraj, Director of Mathrubelaku Foundation, was born and raised in Talakeri village of Koppal district. Growing up in a financially challenged family, he personally experienced the hardships faced by many vulnerable children and communities.
These life experiences inspired him to dedicate himself to social service and community development. He strongly believes that every individual has a responsibility to give back to society and create opportunities for those who are struggling.
With the support of co-founder Mrs. Chandana T R, he helped establish Mathrubelaku Foundation with the vision of providing care, protection, education, healthcare, guidance and emotional support for children in need.
